I have never been to a live concert. However I have been told that recorded music is usually better quality. Is this true? Would you suggest I go to a concert anyway?

Yes, I have a similar opinion that the recorded ones are good. One of my friend said to me that he had personally experienced this and founded that the recorded ones are better in clarity.

Depends on the artist.  If the artists are not very good the studio recording can make them sound really good. That is why many concerts are more about the artists live dance performance and they lip sync their previously recorded tunes.  Others are live music performances and these can be quite amazing, if the artist is really good.

I have to agree that music Live sounds different than listening to the radio or a cd of the same artist.  I have been to many concerts and I love them. I would advise going to concerts still.  It's the whole atmosphere of the concert. Seeing the artist live, being able to see them and hear them.  A great entertainer will put on a great show and still sound good.

My favorite concert to date has been Kenny Chesney.  He is a great entertainer and has a great voice too.

He's right. It depends on the artists. I've watched some of my favorite's in a concert and they're not that good. Disappointing actually. But if you're going to a concert because of a date, then I'll say go whether or not its good. At least both of you will have something to talk about.
